Condor Cape Town: Car

 

Condor Cape Town had this challenging tracking and compositing shot, where a logo needed to be inserted on the door of the car. monet produced a superb track and lighting passes in less than one hour, compared to an estimated 8 hours in a traditional compositing package.

Turner Studios: Cartoon Network

 

monet was used here to track and replace a poster promoting a show on Cartoon Network. The shot starts wide and ends with a close-up of the poster. This type of move is no problem for the monet tracker!

LAB 601: Cingular

 

In a recent project for Cingular, 60 shots of cell phones and handheld devices had to be tracked to insert screens. This was accomplished in 2 days using monet - an amazing feat considering the difficulty of the shots. This one has a rotating screen with motion blur and reflections.

Turner Studios: Major League Baseball

 

In a promo for Major League Baseball, a logo on a baseball helmet had to be replaced. In the shot the helmets rotate and there are flashes of light that make the tracking a challenge!

Turner Studios: Toonami

 

For this Toonami promo the 'Turn 2' sign had to be replaced with the Toonami name. Although heavily motion blurred and the sign moves in and out of frame this was no problem for monet.

Paprika: Kelloggs All Bran

 

In this series of Kellogg's All-Bran commercials, both the camera and the packages were moving and sometimes the packages were moving outside of the frame or were occluded by other objects, as well as being motion blurred. The packages had to be changed to adapt the commercials to the Belgian market.

The Post Production Office: York AC

 

After having spent three days attempting to track this shot with a 3D tracker, The Post Production Office gave up and turned to Imagineer with the question "can monet do this?". 30 minutes later the shot was tracked perfectly.

The Post Production Office: China Mobile

 

This shot is from a spot for China Mobile, in which a graphic had to be inserted into the screen of the cell phone. This was shot without tracking markers and there were heavy reflections over the screen, which was not a problem for monet.

The Post Production Office: Dah Sing Bank

 

This commercial for Dah Sing Bank required different graphics to be placed onto metal plates. The plates would move slightly as the actor interacted with them and reflections of his hand and other objects had to be applied on top of the graphics. monet handled this beautifully.

The Post Production Office: China Automobile Association

 

Your car breaks down. A girl writes her phone number in your hand with lipstick, you pad the China Automobile Associating mechanic on his shoulder and then you drive off. What will you see on the shoulder? Yes, the phone number! monet handled this nicely even though there were no tracking markers.

Turner Studios: Chevy Movie Festival

 

This job involved creating various versions of a CG generated scene promoting the Chevy Movie Festival. Instead of re-rendering the scene in 3D for each version, a CG generated plane representing the position of the canvas was rendered out and used in monet to generate the 2D track required to place different versions of the graphic in the CG scene
