Import image in matte

Hi there,
Maybe this is a stupid question, but i’m a newbie:D
I completed a manual tracking of a moving sail in motor.
I now have a perfect moving matte that follows the contours off the sail.
In that matte i would like the logo to appear, but i really don’t know how to do this.
Everything i try, is’nt working.
The idea is to put a company’s logo on to the sail that is blowing in the wind.
If we try the surface, it only has 4 points, and thats not enough.
Maybe someone has the answer:)

Hi nmg,

There is no practical way to acheive this inside motor.

You would need to warp the logo to fit the variations in the cloth movement, which could be done in Imagineer’s Monet for example, or by tracking the overall motion of the sail cloth and then applying that to the logo along with a warping tool in a compositing app.

The real difficulty depends how large the variations of the cloth are, as well as if there is any self-occlusion and so forth.
