About the Instructor: Steve Wright is a senior vfx artsist and master trainer with over 20 years in feature film post-production. Well known as a Shake and Nuke instructor, Imagineer recently partnered with Steve to bring his accessible style and clarity to create the Learn mocha series. To properly learn mocha, it is useful to understand the planar tracker; how it differs from point tracking and how it can assist you to solve the most difficult tracking challenges.
Planar tracking is the underlying technology at the heart of all Imagineer products.

Using mocha to assist Nuke is an increasingly popular workflow for vfx compositing and 2D-3D conversion pipelines. This tutorial covers mocha tracking and roto exports and the Nuke workflow for importing the data.

In this advanced tutorial, Steve shares his knowledge of mocha, Nuke and 3D to convert 2D footage to 3D stereo. mocha's roto shape data is exported to Nuke rotopaint and then depth graded for 3D viewing.
