Mocha AE Behaviour in Plus

I hope this is not a RTFM-issue, because then I’d need to rtfm… :slight_smile:

I wonder if it is possible to have MochaPlus to be started out of AE. Right now I choose ‘Track in MochaAE’ and sure enough MochaAE starts with the clip loaded. I then quit out of MochaAE, save the project and re-open it in MochaPlus, do my tracking and send the data back to AE. Can the MochaAE steps be avoided somehow?

If you want to launch mocha Plus from After Effects like the bundled mocha AE does now, perform these steps:

  1. Install and run mocha Plus separately from the Applications folder
  2. Go to “Preferences” in mocha Plus
  3. Go to the System tab
  4. Click the “Use this version with AE” checkbox in the lower left corner
  5. Click OK
  6. Go to After Effects and select “Track in mocha AE” as normal from the animation menu

You can still run mocha Plus separately without launching it from After Effects if you like, but if you don’t change this preference, After Effects will launch the bundled mocha AE version.
